Damn! NBC has cancelled Law & Order (the progenitor of Criminal Intent & SVU). It’s going to finish out sweeps month & then I guess TNT gets it for good.
I suppose in the age of fake reality that’s cheap to produce L&O was marked for life support at best. & the Nothing But Crap network (also known when I was associated with it 20 years ago, as Nice But Cheap) needs to keep ahead of the bailiffs when it comes to finding any programming that will appeal to people who are texting or playing video games while the TV is on anyhow.
& I have to confess: the TV is pretty much a talking lamp for me. Just background noise most of the time. & yet every once in a while I want to actually, you know, have to think about the characters & plot. It's very hard indeed to find any of that floating around the networks. So I'm gutted.
I’m not sure which will be better therapy: ice cream or rum. Perhaps some sort of combination.
