I have to say that there is no woman in my
acquaintance whose first response to a guy bearing freshly-baked cookies would
be, “That’s so gay.” More like:
“Did you bring the milk, too?” Or:
“Butt out, bitch, he’s mine!” Or:
…No—from here on out, I don’t believe I can repeat
the likely response in a public forum. There are grandfathers who read this.
