Nature's mysteries 3

 

Okay, time for another installment of #IDme.

These low-to-the-ground things were out earlier this year. They evidently come in pink and yellow.







What are they and do I want them in my garden?

Looks like you have Lenten Rose, Helleborus orientalis -- or perhaps a hybrid or congener. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellebore Not native, but not invasive. Doesn't even show up in the range maps, so it's well behaved and keeps itself in the garden.
