When hope shall sing its triumph

Moving from Appalachia to the Old World, today’s Advent music was written in the 17^th Century by French cleric, playwright and poet Simon-Joseph Pellegrin. There’s a lot of energy and excitement in “O Come, Devine Messiah”. And this recording, by the Cape Breton band, Barra MacNeils, is an interesting take on it. (I could not find any choir version that I thought did justice to the piece.)
